SUMMARY:Pine Marten and Squirrel Survey - Workshop for Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:Quercus at Queens University has successfully received funding 
 through the Challenge Fund to carry out a citizen science project across a
 ll of Northern Ireland\, investigating the distribution of pine martens an
 d red and grey squirrels. Quercus hope to deliver this project in partners
 hip with local red squirrels groups.\n\nSome FRSG volunteers took part in 
 a similiar survey last Jan-March 2014 also with Quercus. This survey will 
 follow a similiar format\, however\, you need not have participated in las
 t years survey.\n\nThis workshop will cover all aspects of the survey. The
  survey effort is relatively short and will need to be completed within 3 
 months\, by March 2015. Its a great opportunity to get involved in a pract
 ical conservation activity\, is rewarding and importantly contributes to o
 ur understanding of the distribution of some of our most iconic and endang
 ered mammals.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
